About the Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Fund 2019-20 (QRRRF)
The QRRRF builds on the former Queensland Disaster Resilience Fund.
In 2019-20, 68 projects have been approved to improve the resilience of Queensland communities across 53 councils, four regional organisations of councils, two Queensland Government frontline agencies, a non-profit community organisation, and via Energy Queensland.
Examples of successful projects included electronic gauges and cameras for flood monitoring floodways, flood warning systems, replacing timber bridges, and widening of emergency access trails for bushfire protection
Funding acknowledgement
A total of $13.1 million was made available in this round, comprising $4.8 million from the Australian Government and $8.3 million from the Queensland Government.

Progress reporting and acquittal
Progress reporting and acquittal – state agencies and councils
- Progress reporting and close out of a submission can be done in the MARS Portal following completion of works and full expenditure. Refer to the MARS Portal user guide - Progress reporting and close outs
- For assistance in completing the close out submission, please contact your Regional Liaison Officer (RLO).
Progress reporting and acquittal – non-government organisations
- Contact your Regional Liaison Officer (RLO) for a copy of your final progress report to complete.
- Your RLO will then provide you with a close out template to complete and return.
- Send the Close out submission and Final Project Evaluation Report, along with supporting documentation to submissions@qra.qld.gov.au
- For assistance in completing the close out submission, please contact your Regional Liaison Officer (RLO).
